My 2 Year Veganniversay was June 30th! Woo hoo! So many beautiful changes have occurred in my life over these past 2 years and every day, I discover something new and beautiful about this lifestyle and it makes me that much happier I chose this path. In the two years I've been on this journey, veganism has become so much more prevalent in today's society, and it makes my heart swell with joy. These changes are the positive steps forward that will someday bring about a new era. One where animals can roam free and not have to fear for their lives. I don't think I'll see it in my lifetime, but steps are clearly being taken and it's a beautiful thing to see! Always choose compassion!
I wanted to share with you some recent purchases I've made over the past few months, since you guys know I love supporting small businesses!
First up, my new stuff from The Tree Kisser!
PS: I am wearing shorts lol, but the shirts are so long you can't tell!
You guys know all about Jessica and her business by now from my other posts, so I won't go into detail about it. All you have to know is: her designs are amazing!
She was having a moving sale since she was relocating, and trying to take less with her. So I scooped up these two new products! I have a fitted tshirt with the "Animals in my Heart. Plants in my tummy." design on it, but I love flowy tees so I knew I had to add this one to my collection! It was only $20!
I'm also a sweatshirt junkie since I'm always cold, and I loved the "I'll sleep when the animals are free." design, and since I never wear white, I figured this was a good opportunity to add some color to my wardrobe and represent how I feel. This was also only $20!
She just released some new designs, so head on over to her website to check them out for yourself!
I also got this new tank top from Arm the Animals.
I've loved this "Beauty Not Cruelty" tank top since I first saw it. You may have heard before the saying that every time you choose cruelty free, a bunny gets its flower crown. I love that saying and I love that they portrayed that with this design! They have other clothing types but I chose the tank top for this, figuring the flowers and colors would go perfect for the summer. I'm proud to support cruelty free brands, and I always hope by wearing shirts like this, people will ask questions. And the more people I can spread the knowledge too, the more animals I can help! Win win!
This tank top retails for $27.99 but often times if you're on their IG they have sales, so give them a follow.
Next up, my new bags from 88 Handbags!
I'm always looking for a new handbag. But I'm picky! It needs to be the right size, right color, and right material. I found 88 Handbags on IG and have been obsessed ever since. They offer a variety of on trend styles and colors sure to please any handbag lover. I loved them so much I got two! The gray one is currently my every day bag. It's got a zip closure, pretty gold accents, and handles to carry or or a strap for my shoulders. I reached out to them inquiring about the sizes, because I had to make sure my planner would fit since I carry that every day. They were very helpful! I ordered the gray one first, and they sent me a 15% off coupon with my order details, so I ordered the black and white one too!
The black and white one is my absolute favorite because it reminds me of Beetlejuice! I've gotten so many compliments on that bag. So many!
The materials are durable. They feel like a high quality leather but they're not. No animals were harmed in the making of these bags! You should've have to sacrifice fashion for compassion, and with these bags you don't have to! The prices are super reasonable too. Follow them on IG and check out the selection of gorgeous bags!
This last one is a twofer: my new shirt from Herbivore Clothing and new necklace from Compassionate Paws!
I know neither of these company names are new to you if you read my blog regularly. I bought both of these as Veganniversary presents for myself! The shirt is so amazing! I love the design, and I love the fit. It's slouchy, and so super soft. It kinda hangs off one shoulder, so it's got that casual vibe to it. They offer it in white as well, but I preferred the gray! If you haven't checked them out yet, please do so!
The necklace is probably one of my favorites, and I've received so many compliments on it already. It's Black Rutilated Quartz and I feel like pictures don't do it justice!
It was a little expensive but absolutely worth it for such a unique piece that was made with vegan hands! Make sure you follow Jen on IG and check out her Etsy shop for a ton of unique and beautiful jewelry options!
Have you guys made any purchases from these shops lately? I'd love to see them! Feel free to tag me in them on IG under @thevegancrazycatlady !!
