So, this is more of a reveal than a review really because I own like 10 shades of OCC polish, and these were the last two I bought before they closed forever =( They're not at all my typical shades, but I was like, hey, why not?
John Doe is the lighter shade, and Mein Herr is the darker shade. As an unrelated side note: I will never find a nude shade of polish that actually matches my skin tone. My skin tone is hard enough to match in general, so I've basically given up hope on finding nude shades of anything that match me.
I actually like these shades more than I thought I would. I used both at once because It was just easier; two reviews in one ya know? Plus, I thought the contrasting nudes would add depth and complement each other, which I thought they did. Kevin said they look like a latte, so this was the "basic white girl manicure" lol. I do love all things pumpkin spice so he might not be wrong!
I thought the shades popped against my sweater and against the white table clothe. The lighter shade, John Doe, is a little too light. Mein Herr is darker so I like it better, but it's an odd shade. Kevin isn't wrong when he says it looks like a latte lol. But, I still didn't hate them. They're not colors I would wear often, but I did like them better than I thought I would. Like all OCC nail polish shades, they lasted pretty long on my nails before chipping. They were only $5 each, so no harm no foul for that price. I probably won't use them often, but I have them for when I do, and I'm good with that.
