NLCA was having a sale back in February, and I purchased a few things. I got two of the nail files, one in black and one in red. I loved the dagger design so much, and the fact that it's glass, so it should never get dull. I got one for Amber for Galentine's Day, plus the "Paint your f*cking nails!" polish as well. I've used two of the three polishes, plus the nail file. The nail file, as I said, is adorable. Unfortunately, the black design files off as you file your nails. So, you end up with black under your nails. Also, I've used other glass files and they've been amazing, this one was sub par. The polish I used on my toes is the bottom right, Model Behavior. It's a dark cream brown, almost black, but definitely not black. I liked it more than I thought I would. I don't wear brown, so I decided to try something new. The other color, Hey Sailor!, is the white with black chunks of glitter. Black and white is my jam (see above flip flops), but I was disappointed in the wear of this. There's a lot of black glitter in the bottle, but rarely does it actually apply to the nails. Not just that, I needed like three coats for it to apply evenly, which was too thick, especially after a base and top coat, so it cracked quickly. The glitter pieces chipped off, causing more of the polish to chip. I didn't take a photo, I honestly forgot, but I was pretty disappointed.
The other color I haven't used yet. It's called Cosmic Candy, and it reminds me of an oil spill, that kind of color. I might use that on my toes next. Spring is finally starting to occur, and I'm thrilled. I hate wearing socks and shoes, so anytime I can wear flip flops, I'm excited. Summer can hold off though. I'll make sure to do another post, with pictures, of the other polish when I use it. For the record, I do like NCLA's polishes, but maybe there's a reason these ones were on sale? I haven't had issues in the past, that I can recall, and I own a few other shades of theirs. Overall, I'm not mad I spent the money, since they were affordable.
