I've got some new perfumes from Harvey Prince that I'm excited to review for you guys! Here's what I got:
Madagascar Vanilla in an 8.8 ml spray bottle, and Fling in an 8.8 ml spray bottle.
First up, let's talk about the Madagascar Vanilla. I knew when I first saw the Vanilla scent I had to have it, because vanilla is my thing, it's what I do. When I smelled it, I was surprised by how much is smelled like Body Fantasies Vanilla Spray that you can buy for $7.49 at CVS, which I used my entire middle school life and then some. This bottle was $31, so that's a big price difference. Honestly, it does smell really good. It has a less alcoholic scent than the CVS body spray does, and you can tell it's of a higher quality. I've received many compliments wearing it. Actually, the man working at the post office complimented it and said he loves how real the vanilla smell is, and that it doesn't smell fake like a lot of vanilla scented things out there. And, he's absolutely right about that. This is supposed to be a stress relieving calming scent. I don't know about all of that, but it does smell awesome. The scent does last a decent amount of time, and it's a great scent to layer with. Because it's only vanilla, it adds to literally any perfume you layer it with. I think you'll love it.
Now, for Fling. When I bought this, it was on sale for $18.90. The reason I bought it is because the description sounded almost identical to Temptress, which I absolutely love. Since this one was on sale and Temptress was not, I was like let's do it. Upon receiving it and smelling it, it smells like 90% the same as Temptress. There's a few different ingredients than Temptress. Both include lavender, jasmine, nutmeg, and cinnamon; so both have a floral spice to them. Fling has blackcurrant (which I love), plum, raspberry, and apple which add really really well to the spiciness. Temptress has pumpkin pie and a few other scents which Fling does not. The pumpkin pie is the main difference. Overall, Fling smells awesome. Like Temptress, it's a great scent for fall. It's a slightly tamer scent than Temptress, but layered together they make for a really saucy scent. Layered or alone, Fling smells great! I'm definitely a fan!
I think you'll be happy with both of these scents. Both bring different scents to the table. Both smell good alone or layered. They're a good size to take with you in your purse or when traveling. I will absolutely repurchase both of these perfumes again.
I want to mention one thing: last time, I bought Temptress in a roll on, and I said that I was going to buy spray bottles instead this time, which I did. I realized I use way more spray than I do when I roll it. My Madagascar Vanilla is already empty and I feel like I hardly used it! So, as a tip, I would suggest the roll on's if you want them to last longer. I still have decent amount of Temptress left, and I've had that for a good bit of time now. You get your moneys worth more with the roll on verses the spray. The prices seem high but seriously, sign up for emails and you will get an email every other day about a sale they're having. You'll easily get 30%-40% off and free shipping. Don't buy anything without a coupon code! The prices are so worth it when you use the coupon! Definitely check out these scents, and their many other scents, to find which one you like best!
