I've pretty much been obsessed with Pacifica's hair care products since they've been released. I bought this product about 2 weeks ago and couldn't wait to review it for you guys! I think I've used it enough times to write an honest review on it.
What it is: Hairvana is a leave in detangling conditioner. Harnessing the power of coconut, agave, and rice protein, this conditioner is a little miracle worker in a pretty pink tube. Obviously, it detangles. But it also helps to calm flyaways and make hair smoother and shinier. It makes your hair more flexible, balanced, and strong. Lastly, it helps your hair to repel dirt and oil in between washes.
How to apply it: You can use it on clean dry or wet hair. You only need a little bit, like a nickel sized amount. Even for my mountains of hair, that's all I use and it's plenty. Be careful when you use it because it comes out fast! I used too much the first time because I didn't know that! I've only used it on wet hair, and it absorbs nicely and doesn't leave any residue or build up. I can't speak to how it works on clean hair. You can use it daily if you wash your hair daily.
Texture and smell: It's a white cream. It's a little on the runny side. I think it's got a good texture for a leave in conditioner but personally, I don't want anything heavy left on my hair. It smells very beachy; think coconuts and ocean breezes. It smells a lot like their Coconut Power shampoo and conditioner.
My thoughts: I really like this product. I feel it does a decent job at detangling my hair. My hair since using the Pacifica hair care line has greatly improved overall. It's just healthier, shinier, and smoother. This product in conjunction with the others are all thanks to that. As far as repelling dirt and oil, the second day my hair still looks great. I don't think that I would say this is like a miracle in those regards, but I do notice a difference using it than when not using it.
This, along with the rest of their line, is a definite thumbs up that I highly recommend you try. Pacifica offers high quality vegan and cruelty free products for a reasonable price. This tube was only $14.99 and with how little you need, it will last awhile and you'll definitely get your money's worth. As for right now, the only place I know you can get it is Ulta, both online and in store. And I mentioned before that Ulta always has coupons so you can get an even better price on them!
