My Goddaughter, because she's got a heart of gold, bought me a Christmas present with her own money. She got me a slice of artisanal vegan soap in the scent Grapes of Bath.
Here's the scent description and instructions, as taken from their website:
"Touching on the nostalgic aromas of sweet summer berries and lightly-frosted autumn grapes, this soap makes for an amazing pick-me-up at the start or end of the day. Beneath its buttercream, glittering violet topside, you’ll discover a textured marbling of purples, grays, and stormy blues that leave the skin silky-soft and lightly fragrant. Offering up an exquisite lather to boot, Grapes of Bath remains a visual, tactile treat with an effervescent scent — an experience that never fails to surprise.
Ingredients: Purified water, saponified oils of organic olive, organic coconut, palm, shea butter, select essential and/or fragrance oils, zinc oxide, mica, cosmetic glitter."
My Goddaughter is genuinely the absolute cutest because she picked it for me because it was vegan, purple, and glittery. She's only 9, but she picks out gifts with more thoughts and meaning than most adults I know. I love her <3
Look at this beauty! Multilayered, multicolored, and the delicious scent really carries. I had it sitting on my bathroom since the day I was going to use it, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well the scent carried. That's not even the best part! You ready for it? Look at this...
Would you look at that glitter?! I've never had to use a soap that was so pretty. I felt sad to use it, knowing all that glitter was going to come off the soap and go down my brain. It was just so pretty!
As for the soap itself, it's a bar soap and it did leave that bar soap feel on your skin. It wasn't the worst bar soap feeling I've felt, but it was still there. It's not one of those soaps you use for shaving or anything. The scent was amazing, I just wish it lasted on my skin longer. I've only used it once because my skin was itchy afterwards. Having incredibly sensitive skin, I break out easy. But, I do want to try it again, thinking the first time may have been a fluke. With my skin, you really never know. It lathered better than most bar soaps usually too. Lots of pros, but I'm hoping can get passed the itching. It was such a thoughtful gift from my sweet Goddaughter, and it smells so good! It's a nice pamper soap, not an every day soap. And at $10 per slice, it's a fancy gift to include for birthdays, holidays, anniversary, Valentine's Day (hint hint: next month), or any special or non-special occasion.
There is a website, but my Aunt found it at a store somewhere near her, which is only about 45 minutes from me. Check out the website, look at the different pretty slices and check out the scents, plus there's even hand cream!
