Way way overdue on this post, but the plus side is, I've had plenty of time to try them time and time again, so this review is going to be thorough! I'm an avid fan of having a protein shake for breakfast, and a protein bar as a midmorning snack. I have protein powder, and I've made tons of smoothies in the past, but really, sometimes I'm just completely too lazy to even do that. That's when these handy ready to drink protein shakes are perfect. Shake, open, and drink. Perfect for on the go! Or for when you have to power through a Power Point and you need some energy to keep you going because you absolutely hate creating Power Point presentations. Whatever your deal is, this shake is for you. 20 grams of protein is a great way to start your day, add that with 10 grams of fiber... and you're really off to a great start. I've tried several different vegan proteins, and this is one of my favorites. Some of them give me belly aches and some of them taste awful. This is sweetened with Stevia, combined with the fact that is it is protein shake, and there is an after taste, but it's not terrible and honestly, I've gotten used to it. There are other flavors you can try. Me personally, I'm always partial to vanilla and that's what I stick with. The other flavors are: Toasted Almond and Mellow Mocha. I tried the Toasted Almond, and it was okay. I didn't try the Mocha, but I don't think it would be my personal choice. So for me, vanilla it is. The protein choice for this line is pea protein. They have these ready made shakes, full canisters of power, and smaller single serve packets. Here's the nutrition facts for the ready made shakes: I appreciate the limited ingredients, the calories and sugar are low as well. Overall, this is probably my favorite protein shake I've tried. You can find them pretty much anywhere. I get mine at Target, and they're $7.99 for 4 of them (plus my 5% Red Card discount). My food store has them for $8.99, so they're a little pricier there. Lastly, I think Walmart has them for around $7.84, but that small amount of change saved doesn't balance out the aggravation I get walking into Walmart, so I'll pay more and I'm okay with that. They're averagely priced for what they are, since most other products of the same variety cost about the same. When I like something, I'll pay for it anyway, I don't care. My life has become so busy that some days I don't even remember to eat breakfast, so these really are perfect for me. I recommend them!

Please be aware that this protein shake has pea protein. This is a lugume plant and for those allergic to peanuts, beware. My son ended up in the ER with a major allergic reaction after 1 sip. Yes, 1 sip. I contacted the company because there is NO warnings on the label, which we read several times. We do not eat peas so never even knew this would potentially be a problem. They basically blew us off. This is super dangerous for people/kids that may think this is a great quick breakfast or snack to not be aware of the potentially dangerous effects.

You're right Karen, this is pea protein based, which is clearly labeled on these shakes, and is also included in the ingredients. I'm not sure when you're issue occurred, but I only use pea protein, so that's one of the things I checked the label for. Of course, it's important that people are aware of the ingredients in what they're consuming, especially with allergies, and companies should be very clear on their labels. I do hope that your son is doing well now, and I'm sorry you had such a bad experience, but I hope he has found a source of protein that works best for him.
