You know what's hard to find? The perfect bronzer. There's so many factors into finding the perfect one. Some are too shimmery, too orange, they look like dirt, they don't blend well, too dark, too light, they don't match your skin tone.. the list goes on. Bronzer is not one size fits all, just like skin tone isn't one size fits all. My ideal bronzer is pressed, matte, the perfect shade of brown, one that's comparable to my skin when I'm tan, natural looking, blends well, and is long lasting. I found my perfect bronzer a little over two years ago, and that's Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer. I've tried so many different other ones, samples here and there, but nothing comes close to it. And it smells like chocolate too, which is just an added bonus.
One makeup technique I've yet to master is contouring. It looks so complex. I got bronzer, but sculpting? Scary! I was on Too Faced website about to place my order for my regular bronzer when I saw they have a Cocoa Contour, and I've been wanting to get my contour on anyway, I said let's do this.
For $42, you get 4 colors- Light Cocoa, Medium Cocoa, Dark Cocoa, and Pop of Light (highlighter) and it comes with their mini Contour Buki brush which is shaped to give you perfect results every time. And, it even comes with a Glamour Guide with 3 different contour looks so you can make sure you're putting the right colors where they need to be. Pretty awesome right?
Before we get into the reviews, I just want you to look above as I mention how much I love their boxes. It's designed like a present, complete with a bow and all. It makes receiving a package in the mail even more exciting!
First of all, their brush is perfect. It's the perfect shape, made with their cruelty free and vegan Teddybear Hair so it's super soft. It also deposits all the product onto your skin and you can see little residue on the brush after you're done, so I feel like you're really getting your money's worth.
This palette is for light to medium skin tones. They do offer a palette for darker skin tones as well, which is wonderful. Again, bronzer is not one size fits all.
The Light Cocoa shade in this palette practically blends into my skin tone, so you can't really see it, which is fine, I still use it anyway. The Medium Cocoa is my go to bronzer and it's really the perfect shade for me. It's just like their milk chocolate bronzer, so clearly I love it. The Dark Cocoa is for contouring and sculpting, which I haven't used yet, but even if I don't use it often it'll make a great eyeshadow! The Pop of Light has the perfect amount of "light" for everyone. A little goes a long way for this palette, so you're going to get your money's worth. All of the shades are buildable, so no matter what, you can create your perfect look! I don't think that makeup makes women beautiful, I think it enhances the beauty that's already there. This palette will help enhance yours and I think you're gonna love it!
