If you didn't know, Disney Designer's Collection is literally the biggest craze right now for Disney lovers. There's collector dolls, ornaments, a beautiful Snow White compact mirror, and a few other items. BUT, part of that collection is Colourpop's makeup to go with it. I set an alarm for this release, I was ready.
A little Colourpop background: they offer variety of makeup that's all cruelty free and about 85-90% of it is vegan. They have a FAQ section that lists items that aren't vegan, and they do a fantastic job of updating it with every new launch. Also, on each page, they have their little Cruelty Free logo, and if the product is vegan, it has their little Vegan logo. It makes shopping MUCH faster, and with a launch like this, you want to be fast. I had more items in my cart, but I was in a queue to check out that took between 5-10 minutes, and by the time I got to check out, some items had sold out. A good portion of this collection sold out that day. There's still a few items left I may still try to buy that are vegan that's left, or I might just wait and see if they do a restock (I follow them on IG) and get the remaining vegan items, which there's only a few left, and hopefully snag them then. Everyone that knows me know I do not need any more makeup, but I genuinely love makeup. Disney makeup? Even better.
I know what you're thinking, Disney.. designer.. vegan/cruelty free makeup.. $$$$$$$ right? WRONG. Even though it's Disney, Colourpop didn't jack up any of the prices because of the name. They had the whole set, with exclusive packaging, that included: an eye shadow palette, 3 lip glosses, 4 Super Shock shadows, and 6 lipsticks for $120. I've bought eye shadow palettes alone that were $65. I mean, the prices are unreal. Each shadow is $5, lipglosses are $6, lipsticks are $7, highlighters are $8, and the eyeshadow palette is $20. Oh and it's free shipping within the U.S. for order $30 and over. I spent exactly $30 on everything I got, with free shipping, and am thrilled with my order.
I used my two Super Shock shadows today, which I have a few other ones from Colourpop, but I used my Disney ones today because #excitement.
There's 6 shades total for this collection, but unfortunately I think only like 3 are vegan. I got 2 of them. To the left is Under The Sea, and to the right is Heigh-Ho. These shadows are smooth like satin, and they apply even better with your fingertips than a brush. Using your fingertips really packs the color punch in, and these shadows are highly pigmented. My aunt got me a necklace for my birthday that's Ariel, who is my favorite Disney princess, and these colors match perfectly, and I couldn't wait to try them anyway, so I figured, let's be a mermaid today!
This was pre-mascara and pre-brows but look at that pigment! I'm surprised by how well Heigh-Ho showed up. I went light on the Under The Sea because it is so bright, so I just did it I the crease and layered a little Heigh-Ho on top of it. I just used my fingertips to apply it, and I love how my eyes turned out. I can't wait to use everything else!
Check out their products in general, and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Right now they're having a sale if you buy 2 liquid lips you get 1 free! And if you sign up, you get $5 off your first order. Don't forget to follow them on IG and sign up for emails. That $5 is basically a Super Shock Shadow for free!
