Is there anything that can't be made better with pumpkin spice? Think about it. Coffee? PSL. Waffles? PSW. Cake? PSC. Pumpkin spice everything. Seriously. When I saw this pumpkin spice hand lotion by Desert Essence, I knew instantly that I had to have it.

This time of year, my hands get ridiculously dry. Between all of the washing, hand sanitizing, and the cold weather, they take a beating. They also get really sensitive too, and often times lotions can burn the small cuts and cracks they get. Even the ones meant for the most sensitive of skins can burn. So, I was BEYOND excited to try it, but also nervous too!

To my surprise, this stuff doesn't burn my hands a bit. In fact, it's one of my favorite hand lotions I've used to date. It really does make my hands soft and absorbs quickly. I can feel the barrier it leaves on my hands afterwards so they're protected, but there isn't any greasy residue what so ever. This barrier lasts until I wash my hands. And when I do wash them, I can feel the barrier washing off my skin, if that makes any sense. So, you definitely have to reapply every time you wash your hands.

Here's what Desert Essence has to say about it:

"A high concentration of organic oils and extracts provide intense moisture to the skin and aid in the repair process. Organic Jojoba Oil, similar in structure to our skin’s oils, deeply penetrates the skin, leaving it soft and supple. Organic Pumpkin Seed Oil, with high levels of Vitamins A, C, E, and K, plus zinc, helps combat daily environmental stress on the hands. A proprietary blend of Organic Pumpkin Seed and Licorice Leaf Extracts helps to even skin tone and fade the appearance of age spots on the hands."

I love all the vitamins in this lotion! We all know Jojoba Oil is good for your skin, but Pumpkin Seed Oil is also amazing for your skin. It helps keep your skin looking younger and retain moisture. These ingredients all come together to keep your skin looking and feeling great.

My only disappointment I've gotta say is that this lotion smells nothing like Pumpkin Spice, Pumpkin or Spice in general. I am truly disappointed in that, since I love all things Pumpkin related. My coworkers love this lotion, and they use my tube I keep at work, but they even agree it smells nothing like it should. My one coworker said it smells like Fruitty Pebbles. It's a hard smell to explain honestly. It doesn't necessary smell bag, just not what I had expected. This is my first time ever trying it, but it sounds like they changed the scent a few years ago to this and a lot of people were up in arms over it, claiming the only scent was better, so that's probably true. Other than that, I have no complaints.

If you can get passed your disappointment in the lack of Pumpkin Spice scent, I think you'll love this lotion. They have several other fragrances you can try, if this one doesn't do it for you. The lotion itself is great! I ordered mine from Vitacost and it was $5.19 a tube whereas the retail is $8.99, which is still a fair price in my personal opinion. Check them out!

Happy Shopping!
