On Monday, I received my Petit Vour October Beauty Box. Here's the goodies I received:
The most exciting product this month is the full size Habit brand nail polish in Deep Sea.
This retails for $18, more than paying for the box itself! I always make this joke that I can't get away from blue, because everything at work is blue and we have to wear blue because our colors are blue and white. So like my life is like that song.. I'm blue da bu de da bo dah. The good thing about this is that it's a dark navy blue, almost black, and I always prefer darker colors. So, even though it's blue, I still think it'll look really nice on because it's so dark. This is easily the fanciest nail polish bottle I've ever seen. With it's sleek shape and fancy bamboo/wood handle. The fanciness behind this is that one of the ingredients is Myrrh extract. According to the package, myrrh contains anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal properties. It strengthens and nails and treats cuticles. I can't wait to try it! It looks like a really beautiful color! I checked out their website and they have some seriously beautiful colors. And all of their colors are color coordinated by shade and from lightest to darkest, which makes my OCD so so happy. Absolutely check them out!
Next up is the Essence of Vali Sleep Oil.
This stuff is pretty cool. Not something you usually receive in a beauty box, so I appreciate that it's different. Essentially, it's aromatherpay. You apply a drop to a tissue and stick that under your pillow case, or directly onto your pillow case. The soothing scents of lavendar, ylang ylang, cedar wood, and marjoram leaves help calm you and help you sleep. You can also use it during the day in a diffuser to help relieve stress as well. This is not meant for your skin. I'm excited because A) I can't ever sleep because my mind goes a million miles a minute and B) between moving and getting married my stress level is through the roof so I'm willing to try anything to calm me down! It smells pretty good too! This is valued at $1 with the full size costing $18.
Next up is the Ursa Major Fantastic Face Wash.
If they're using fantastic in the name, it's gotta be legit right? Lol. I haven't tried this yet, but according to the description, this stuff seems pretty "fantastic." It cleans, exfoliates, removed oil, and clears blocked pores all without removing your natural oils and making your skin tough and dry. I like that it exfoliates just by keeping it on your face for an extra minute. No scrubbing! So this stuff is probably a better exfoliater for those with sensitive skin since I assume it's less abrasive. I haven't used this yet, but I took a whiff of it and it appears to smell good. Mint and citrus are the scents I picked up, which are part of the ingredients. What I don't like is that the back says "Made with 34 natural ingredients including...." I like to know exactly what I'm using. I appreciate that the ingredients are natural, but I want to know what they are. Other than that, it seems decent, so we'll see! This is valued at $6.
Lastly, is the Hana Organic Skincare Eye Oil.
This is actually a pretty decent size, considering you only need a few drops for the delicate eye area. I feel like, although it's a sample, it will last long. This is actually valued at $18, which on their website they sell 5 ml for that price. They also offer a 15 ml for $40. This is meant to smooth and sooth your under eye area. This luxurious oil contains only 4 ingredients: jojoba oil, rosehip seed oil, vitamin E, and rose essential oil. The smell is very faint and natural, no harsh perfumes which is what you want for that sensitive area. I'm also really excited to try this out!
Overall, another awesome box by Petit Vour. The value for this box comes in at $43, so you're really getting your moneys worth. And as usual, the products they include are so fancy! Like $18 nail polish?! I would never pay that for one bottle of polish, so I love that was what included. I also loved that they put a little of everything in this box, even unexpected things like the aromatherapy oil!
