I've been eyeing up these VeganCuts Beauty Boxes literally forever now. I've bought stuff from their website before, and every time I place an order I end up going and reading the FAQ about the Beauty Box subscription, then I put all my info in to order, and I just never hit Submit. I'm super indecisive with life lol. I finally decided last month that I was doing it. And I'm so happy I did!
Okay, so let's get into the details of this June box. As you can see above, Tabby was also super excited to receive the box too! Well, maybe she was more excited to play with the empty box lol. Below is my reveal of the goodies I received!
This "Beach Beauty" themed box includes: a full size Eye Trio by Emani, a sample of Schmidt's deodorant in Cedarwood and Juniper, a sample of Pacifica's Sea Foam Complete Face Wash, a full size tube of Eco Lips Lemon Lime lip balm, a sample of Hello brand toothpaste in Pink Grapefruit mint, and a sample of Bee All Natural Coconut Oil Soap.
As far as value goes, I can say that the full size eye shadow retails for $20, and the lip balm is $3.49. Both of those pay for the box and them some. Plus, the values of the samples I can't speak to, but clearly they're worth something. I would say these boxes are definitely worth it.
As far as the products themselves. I actually just finished my full size Pacifica's Sea Foam Complete Face Wash about 3 days before receiving this sample. I really enjoy the body wash. The texture is great, and I love the smell. It's summery and beachy and slightly sweet; it's just awesome. However, it makes my face oily, so I can't use it in the summer. I have oily skin in general, and this exacerbates it. Other than that, it leaves you with a clean and refreshing feeling.
The Hello brand Pink Grapefruit Mint toothpaste surprisingly taste exactly how it sounds. I mean seriously, it's like someone took grapefruit juice and mint and infused them into a paste. The taste is delicious! My only complaint is that it doesn't foam much. Even when I use a lot, I feel like it's lacking. So I use more and more to try and compensate for that. I would assume I wouldn't get enough bang for my buck if I bought a full size due to the amount I feel like I would need to use.
The Schmidt's deodorant I was sadly not a huge fan of. For starters, I'm not a huge fan of the scent. I feel like it's kind of masculine, in my opinion. If I tried a lavender scented one I feel like I would've enjoyed it more. Also, the packaging is difficult. You really gotta get your fingers in there to try and get some out, because it's hard like most deodorants are. So, it's hard to get out, and while you dig to get some out, it gets stuck under your nails, and that's a pain too. However, it did a decent job for the short time I used it. I feel like if the packaging was that of regular deodorant, and had a more feminine scent, I would for sure try it again.
The Bee All Natural Coconut Oil Soap I enjoyed as well. It doesn't smell like coconut oil at all, which I was slightly disappointed it. But considering it's coconut oil, it actually lathered and soaped up pretty well. I found it to be decently moisturizing. I used it on my entire body, and still have some of my sample left. However, I don't imagine it's a super long lasting product as I only used the sample once to clean my whole body, I used a lot of the sample to do so. Would I buy the full size? No. But, I was still pleasantly surprised!
I haven't tried the lip balm or the eye shadow yet, but I will review them as soon as I do!
Have you guys tried any of these products? Are you a VeganCuts Beauty Box subscriber? I would love to hear your thoughts!
