I've been trying to post more about fund raising opportunities in my local area so that it's more well known and hopefully gets more people involved and thus more money raised for a good cause! I have a few more I wanna share with you guys.
I think I've already posted about this one but since it's next week, I wanted to post about it again. Thursday July 13th...
The Greyhound Cafe is donating 20% of all purchases to Luv-N-Bunns. And they'll be raffling of a piece of Amanda Lynn's bunny artwork, which is beautiful! She's doing my cats portraits, which I won last time I was at The Greyhound Cafe for The Humane League night. So you definitely won't want to miss out on getting a chance to win that, plus Luv-N-Bunns is a great organization to be supporting. Oh and the food at The Greyhound Cafe is delicious!
Next up, this one doesn't benefit animals, but it does benefit Breast Cancer, which I lost my maternal Grandmother to and my Paternal Grandmother also had it but survived, so it's a very important cause for me and my family. My mom and I are doing this together. Sunday July 23rd 2pm-5pm...
This Painting with a Twist has a Vera Bradley raffle and is donating a portion of sales to the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer. Also, the painting is super pretty too! I really enjoyed my last Painting With a Twist, it was so relaxing and helped quiet my anxiety because I had to really focus on painting, so that's an added benefit.
Next up, Providence Animal Center is hosting another Yoga With Dogs! I had so much fun with the first one and I definitely want to do it again. Even in the hot heat, I'll take any opportunity to hang out with dogs! Saturday August 5th from 10am-11pm...
You can bring your own dog, or rent a dog. Don't forget you have to buy tickets in advance!
Next up, the Chester County Vegan Festival! I've never been there but I am super excited to go, and West Chester is only like 25-30 minutes from us. Saturday August 12th 12-4pm..
This event is hosted by CARE, Compassion for Animals and Respect for the Environment. Check it out if you can!
Also, on that same day, August 12th from 7-9:30pm..
Bowling for Bunnies at Arnold's Family Fun Center! You can make a full day and night out of the festival and this! This also benefits Luv-N-Bunns, and cost $25 per person. You purchase your tickets through PayPal and if you do Friends and Family you'll avoid the fees! I'm really excited for this one. I'm a horrible bowler but it's for a good cause and a fun night out.
Next up, The Rescue Run 5K in Philadelphia on Sunday September 24th starting at 11am...
I've only ever done one 5K but my goal is to do more this year. I'm not really a fan of Philly but I am a fan of animals so, that's really all it takes lol. Tickets are $35 from now until race day.
Lastly, another 5K and this one my husband and I are already registered for, Run for the Bunns in Wayne. This one is Sunday October 8th from 9-10am...
This also benefits Luv-N-Bunns rescue and I'm hoping that I can actually run instead of walk. And it's gonna be in October, my absolute FAVORITE month on year. Doing a 5K on a fall day, and benefiting bunnies is a win all around.
This is all the ones I know of right now. All of these are simple
and fun things you can do to help! Every bit counts!
I'll do more posts as I find them out. I'm always on the look out! So keep your eye out for updates!
