Every time I'm like, okay Ash, no more makeup... I go ahead and buy more! KVD had a promotion where you spent XYZ dollars, you get a mini studded lipstick and mini liquid lipstick in shade called Lovecraft, which is a mauve pink nude, plus a free makeup bag. Do I need another makeup bag? No, I do not. Did that matter? No, it did not. So I ordered: the travel size of Sinner, which I'm so mad I didn't buy the one with the new Sinner shade of liquid lipstick in it because the shade is a beautiful dark purple but that's irrelevant right now, additionally I got a full size Tattoo Liner, plus MetalMatte mini eyeshadow palette. Let's talk the palette first... Sometimes (most of the time) the fine details are really what draws me in. This palette is called MetalMatte, and if you're holding the palette up, it says Metal, and upside down, it says Matte. I just love that. This palette is called MetalMatte because half the shades are matte, and the other are shimmery, yet they complement each other, as you can see below... SO PRETTY RIGHT?! I can't get enough of these colors. They're neutral, but with some zing to them. I thoroughly believe in using a primer on your eyelids for accurate color portrayal, as well as longer wear. Pre-mascara, this is the shades I'm wearing in the photos above: I used Velvet on the outer corners and blended it into half my crease, used Synergy for the middle and blended it through the rest of my crease, and added some Thunderstruck to the inner corners to make my eyes look away and bright (which believe me you, in real life, they weren't). Lastly, I used Suede, since it's closest to my skin color, up to my brown, just to even everything out. Fun fact: I have a scar, which you can see in the photo, from my aunt's dog from when I was a kid. She got me good with her paw, and I bled for what felt like forever. My glasses hide it, so it doesn't bother me as much as it used to. Moving on, I really love this palette. I expected nothing less. It lasted all day, and the colors are so complementary and I think they would look beautiful on all skin tones. A+ from me! Now, let's talk about Lovecraft, in the new and improved Studded Kiss formula. I didn't try the Everlasting Liquid Matte, simply because I was excited to try the new formula out for the other one. The color is pretty, it's just not a color I would personally choose. I prefer darker colors, as I feel they compliment my skin tone better than lighter colors. I love mauve, but this shows more pink against my skin tone. I was surprised though, because the new formula seems kind of drying. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. I think I need to try another color. I happen to have gotten a 10% off my next Sephora purchase, so I may go buy another lip stick. She's got so many shades to choose from, picking one is going to be the hard part!
Overall, I'm thrilled with my purchase. KVD never lets me down!
