If you guys only go to HomeGoods for their awesome candles, fancy soaps, and unique home decor- you're doing yourself a disservice. HomeGoods is also goldmine for unique snacks. They have SO many vegan snacks that I've never even heard of, and every time I go I could literally spend an hour just checking out their snacks! Prepare to have a snack attack!
When I saw the words "avocado" and "popcorn" on one bag, I was sold. When I saw it was vegan too, I didn't hesitate grabbing a bag off the shelf. I've confessed my love for avocados on several occasions. They're one of my most favorite foods ever. I never would've thought of avocado oil and popcorn, but it sure does work deliciously well!
This whole grain, organic, gluten free snack has the oil of more than 1 and 1/4 avocados in it! The avocado oil adds a delicious buttery flavor to the popcorn, but with all the good fats and without all the bad stuff. The oils are cold pressed so they're as natural as they are nutritious. Coconut oil is an additional ingredient that adds some more healthy fats to this snack. Lastly, it's sprinkled with some Himalayan salt, but it's not over salted at all. It's got the perfect balance of eveeything!
I was munching on this while watching Hocus Pocus and had to stop myself from eating the whole bag! Four simple ingredients and that's it. Healthy and nutritious! I finished my entire bag in 3 days! I absolutely recommend you stop by your local HomeGoods and grab a bag (or five, I'm not judging!), you'll be happy that you did!
I went back and bought 4 more bags lol. It's probably my most favorite popcorn ever. And if you really wanna un-health it up, melt a little EarthBalance buttery spread and drizzle it on there. Just like movie theater popcorn, but better! 👍🏼
My first thought when I saw this bag was: Cool Ranch Doritos. One of my favorite snack when I was younger was Doritos. I could eat Doritos by the (family size) bag. Of course I had to give these a shot. If you've ever had Beanitos chips, the texture is very similar to those. However, instead of just having beans, these are beans and rice. I personally prefer the texture of bean chips to regular corn chips because they still have a good crunch but they're more fulfilling. The ranch flavor isn't too overpowering. They remind you of a more mild but better version of Cool Ranch Doritos and I'm a fan! They're pretty delicious and I plan on going back to see if I can grab another bag! This bag was $2.79 which is a price that makes me HomeGoods happy!
I prefer salty snacks over sweet, but these looked pretty tasty! These Gluten Free Bites are jam packed with lots of good stuff and no bad stuff. Gluten free snacks can be delicious or taste like cardboard. Fortunately, these weren't cardboard flavored. If you're not a fan of dates, you might want to skip these. The dates are prevalent in these, even with all the other ingredients. The coconut is toasted so it adds a nice smoked flavor and great texture to these. There's little chocolate chunks and little rice crispies in there as well, which adds even more great texture. They're soft and moist. I love that 2 bites has 4 grams of protein and 2 grams of fiber. With only 100 calories per 2 bite serving, these are a great addition to your lunch or a great dessert after dinner!
I had hopes to really enjoy these. I read the name I Heart Keenwah and in my mind I'm like, I heart quinoa too, so what could go wrong?! Turns out, everything. Both myself and my mom tried them and spit them out. The sea salt was overpowering, and apparently, I discovered that me and my mom both find truffle oil absolutely disgusting. Ew! I mean like, seriously ew! My mom described them as "salted cardboard." From what I read, Truffle oil is an earthy flavor similar to mushrooms and garbage (my words). It seems like it's a love or hate relationship, with most reviews that I read leaning to the negative side. If you are a fan of truffle oil, give them a shot. Fortunately they were only $2.39, so I wasn't too disappointed throwing them out. I would be happy to try other flavors, because the texture had a satisfying crunch. But this flavor was a no go.
Unfortunately, you can't win them all, but 3 out of 4 isn't bad! And it's not like you have to go to some fancy store to find these delicious vegan snacks; HomeGoods is the place to go! While you're there, seriously don't forget to check out their soaps and candles though for real. Some of my most favorite soy candles I've ever used have been from there. And I'm forever finding new soaps to try for a decent price. I buy Deep Steep hand soaps all the time, and I now have 3 spares stashed away under my kitchen sink! I buy one every time I go! These cashiers must think I'm nuts! I buy all these snacks then hand soap and on occasion I throw a few other items in there. They must think I love to snack and wash my hands, and you know what? They'd be spot on! They're two of my most favorite activities! 😹
Happy Shopping and Happy Snacking!
