A fellow vegan friend of mine sent me a gift earlier this year because she's awesome, and included in this awesome gift was a deluxe sample size of the DermOrganic Daily Conditioning Shampoo and Intensive Hair Repair Masque. I had never heard of the brand until she sent them to me, so I was pretty excited to check them out. Here's the deal..
These gems are made with Moroccon Argan Oil, which is super nourishing for your hair. This sulfate free formula is gentle and safe for your hair, scalp, and skin. It's also safe for color treated hair. The scent is light, natural. and clean. The shampoo is actually made with lipid and amino acid facial cleansers, which I think is pretty cool. It has a different texture than regular shampoo, and I think that's because of the facial cleansers. It's lighter than most shampoos, if that makes any sense at all. I feel like I need a lot to really produce a good lather. To be fair, I have a lot of hair. And it's thick. So I usually need a lot of shampoo in general.
The masque is enrinched with rice keratin to help smooth and repair your hair. This silicone free formula is safe for color treated hair. This can be used as a daily conditioner or a weekly masque. It says to leave on for at least a minute to repair, which seems like not enough time in my opinion. I usually leave it on for at least 5 minutes while I'm showering. I do all of my other stuff while it soaks into my hair. This masque also has a different texture than what you might be used to. It's kind of light and fluffy, as opposed to heavy. My guess is because it doesn't have any silicones in it. I don't put any on the top of my head, I use it about halfway up my hair.
I'm almost done my bottles of these, and overall I liked them. They left my hair smelling clean and soft. I really liked the simple ingredients in these products, and I'm always a sucker for anything organic. You can purchase these either online, or at Ulta or Ulta's website. The shampoo is $18 for 12 oz and $35 for 33.8 oz. The intensive hair repair masque is $18 for 8.5 oz and $40 for 33.8 oz.
