Colourpop is one of my favorite affordable brands. They also released a Disney collection a few months ago, and it's also affordable. I got: two shades of their No Filter Foundation sticks since I had no clue what shade would match, if any, Colourpop x Delilah lip gloss in shade A New Day, and Disney Designer Super Shock Shadow in Almost There (from the Princess and the Frog). The Foundation sticks are $10 each, presently on sale for $7, the lip gloss is $6, and the eyeshadow is $5. When I say affordable, I really mean it.
Let's start with the foundation sticks. Here's the short version, I don't love them, but they do have some pros. I used both shades. I got Light 67N and Medium 81N. I'm so used to having to mix foundation shades that buying two is never weird to me. My skin is basically unmatchable.
Here's the plus side: they're so easy to apply. They glide on smoothly and blend easily. They're great for on the go, and they're good for like "no makeup but I don't want to look completely dead" look. Here's some photos:
One is in sunshine and the other is just natural lighting. The coverage is minimal, but the color is off, especially in the natural light. The sunshine hides it better. I added powder on top, and still wasn't impressed. I will say the formula is nice; it's non-greasy and it didn't break me out or anything. My lovely Hashi's causes hormonal imbalances which make me break out, so yay to that.
Final answer: not for me. If you have good skin and don't need full coverage, and have a normal skin shade, give them a shot. They're $10 each, on sale for $7 right now, it's not an expensive waste of money. Like I said, I do use it on occasion with some powder, the light shade, if I'm just running out. Now that I'm tan, the medium would probably would too. It's good to have more than one shade regardless. Summer and winter shades!
Next up, the Colourpop x Delilah lip gloss in A New Day.
This shade is a sheer light nude; all it really does is add some light shimmer to your natural lip shade. My lips are pink and red, depending. They change colors like other people's eyes do. You know those hazel eyes that are sometimes greener or sometimes bluer? That's me, but with my lips lol. For some reason, it has a brush instead of the little sponge, which I'm not a huge fan of. But, 20% of proceeds go to the Make A Wish Foundation until January 11, 2019. So, hurry up and place some orders before time runs out!
Lastly, Disney Designer's Super Shock Shadow in Almost There.
I feel like you can't get a good enough picture of the color, but their Super Shock Shadows pack real punch of color. This brown shade is so pretty, and I just use my finger to apply it. I either pat it or rub it depending on how I want it to look, with more or less pigment. I absolutely love their shadows, and can't recommend them enough. At $5 each, you can stock up!
