BRUNCH AT THE GREYHOUND CAFE!

Let's take a vote: what's the best meal of the day? If you didn't say brunch, you've been brunching all wrong you're whole life. Brunch is the best of both worlds, breakfast and lunch, meaning you can have pancakes with a side of French fries if you want, washed down with a mimosa or a root beer. You can have a veggie burger with some hash browns and some apple juice. You can have just breakfast, or just lunch. The possibilities are endless, and delicious! The Greyhound Cafe, one of my favorites, offers brunch on Saturdays and Sundays only, and it's so good. Kevin and I have vowed to go once a month, at minimum, because it's that good. So, let's talk about one of my most favorite things: food.

Look at all those options! I got myself some banana pancakes, with some potato latkes (minus the onions because ew) and some OJ. Kevin got friend chicken and waffles, which is really fried cauliflower that's breaded and seasoned. As a side note: cauliflower is one of the most versatile foods. Look up some recipes for it, you'll be surprised.

My handsome husband!
We had gotten there when they just opened so it took a little longer than anticipated to get our food, but it was well worth the wait. In the meantime, let me just show you how awesome my leggings were that day, and my outfit in general:

I'm a black, gray, and white girl. Color isn't my cup of tea, but when I do color, I do purple. Lularoe leggings aren't cheap, but they're so soft and so comfortable, and they don't irritate my tactile sensitivities, and it's like you're not even wearing pants. This pair in particular is like a pale lavender with some of my favorite Disney Villainesses on there. I love Disney, as you know, and I love the Villains just as much as the good guys!

Back to food...

The OJ is literally fresh squeezed, so it's delicious. Potato latkes remind me of my Great Grammy, who used to make them all the time. She was Polish, and a tremendous cook. She passed away when I was 15, but everything she made required, at minimum, one stick of butter. Everything was almost always home made. Her potato latkes were my favorite. I get them in her honor pretty much every time I go, because I miss her dearly,  and if I know her, I always think she's looking down saying "I bet they're good, but not as good as mine." Lol. She would be correct, while these are deliciously crunchy, with a side of apple sauce, nothing will ever beat my Great Grammy's, and since she's gone, these are the next best thing.

Now, let's talk banana pancakes. Holy carboload are they good. They're so fluffy, and they have home made "butter" with a side of syrup. And they're huge! You get 3, which is more than enough, and they're chock full of banana slices. I like that they use slices and not chunks, I wanna taste all the bananas because I love bananas! These are my favorite, and I also get these every time I go too. I'm a creature of habit, what can I say? Lol.

Maybe next time, I'll switch it up. If I don't, I know Kevin will. He loved his chicken and waffles, and couldn't believe the chicken was cauliflower based. It also came with French fries, which I may have nibbled on one or seven of them. Potatoes and avocados, I have no limits lol. I will gorge myself until there's no more left. When people talk about "saving half an avocado for later" I just look at them like they have 5 heads. Like, just eat a second avocado lol.

My recommendation? If you're local, tomorrow morning, get up, wear comfy clothes, even if that means your PJs (no one is judging you), and get yourself some brunch at They Greyhound Cafe, and you can thank me later.
