I was fortunate and win a giveaway from Desert Essence for their new body scrubs and body oils. This was the one I was the most excited to try so naturally, it's the first one I wanted to use.
Let's talk about the scrub first. Spoiler alert: I love it. You know how some scrubs are too rough? Or they leave your skin with that awful greasy residue? This is not that scrub. This gentle sugar scrub smells amazing, actually lathers, and cleans your skin while it exfoliates. What's odd is that it's really hard to squeeze out of the tube, which is my only complaint. Even though it feels thick, it lathers really well. The scent is amazing. It's coconut, jojoba, chamomile and cucumber, and while it doesn't last long, while it does last, it's pretty great.
Obviously, due to the sugar crystals, you can shave with it. However, I do it all over, then shave with my body wash. I genuinely feel clean without having to wash off my body scrub. This is the first time I've ever had that happen with any scrub I've ever used. It's so wonderful! Honestly, I am beyond impressed with this scrub and use it pretty much every time I shower, because it is so gentle and keeps my skin soft during these harsh winter months. It's meant for sensitive skin, which I have, so this is basically the perfect scrub for me.
Now, let's talk about the matching body oil..
I've always been a little hesitant with body oil because I can't stand that greasy feeling that it leaves my skin. This is not that body oil. They claim it moisturizers for 24 hours, and I tested that, and it certainly does last that.
It has the same wonderful scent as the body scrub, and a little goes a long way. Again, my only complaint is that the scent doesn't last long. Here's to hoping that they decide to dabble in the perfume business and turn this into a perfume.
It doesn't feel heavy, it's light but it works. I love everything about this. It's replaced my lotion. Even with my heels, they stay moisturized! I absolutely love this body oil!
I know you're probably thinking that I'm lying and saying this stuff because it's free, but I'm not. I genuinely love these products and will purchase them when I run out.

They have such a wide array of products that you're bound to find something you like, and something for your friends and family. The holiday are coming up! Get your shopping done sooner than later! Disney and makeup- what a perfect combo! This ultra glossy lip gloss is part of a three part collection, called (appropriately) Bibbidi, Bobbidi, and Boo. I want all three colors, but Boo was the one that stood out to me the most. This shade is a warm rose, and I believe it would flatter all skin tones.
This was layered on top of my clear lip balm, for added moisture. This was only one coat, and I did apply it additionally throughout the day, especially after eating. I'm surprised by how well this lip gloss lasts, and how pigmented it is. More layers = more pigment. I feel like one layer leans more pink than rose on me, and I'm sure my skin color affects it as well, but I think the color is so pretty regardless. It's not sticky; it's truly glossy. It's bright and it just makes your lips look so shiny!
It's pretty moisturizing too. I've been having a lot of problems with my lips being so dry and raw, and it's been awful. NOTHING will heal them, and I think my Pernicious Anemia is part of the problem, plus the eczema, and it's cold, and of course, my body hates me. So, lipgloss has been my go to more so than lipstick, especially matte lipstick because it causes me so much pain trying to get it off and then my lips are raw all over again. It's been a vicious cycle.
My only complaint is that it has a weird smell. It's not necessarily bad, just odd. I din't hate it, but I just felt like it was worth mentioning.
Colourpop makes shopping easy because their website is so user friendly. It literally says "cruelty free" and "vegan" on their products, so you know which ones are vegan friendly without having to search through a list trying to find out if it's vegan or not. Honestly, they update their vegan list almost with almost every new release they have.
Did I mention this lipgloss was only $6? Yes, you read that right. A Disney, vegan, and cruelty free makeup product that's only $6.
I'll let that settle in while you quickly type in Colourpop in your search bar.
