Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics had a 40% off sale for Memorial Day. I truly love their nail polishes, but shipping is crazy expensive unless you spend $50 and it's free. Fun fact: I will always spend more money to get free shipping. Paying for shipping really grinds my gears.
OCC offers really unique colors. One of my favorite thing about their colors is that they offer a lot of "blackened" versions of colors which basically make them black with a hint of color. I'm not a color girl, so this really eases me into the color world. The first ever polish I bought from them was called Pagan, and it's a blackened purple and it is still my favorite color to this day. I have a few other colors as well, which ironically I'm wearing two of them as I type this. I have Batty (midnight black with silver glitter) on nails, and Electric Sheep (dreamy lavender with metallic shimmer) on my toes.
Their polishes are $10 regular, but they were on sale for $6 and that's a steal. I went a little outside of the box with my color choices. I'm pretty proud of myself for that. Here's what I got:
Black Metal Dahlia is "deep maroon with red pearl." BONUS: I think it'll match my new Tree Kisser shirt pretty well too!
Working Girl is "bright candy pink with gold pearl." Look how out of the box this one is for me!
Strange and Unusual is "metallic darkroom plum." Also, it makes me think of Lydia from Beetlejuice. "I myself am strange and usual." Me too girl, me too. Lydia is my spirit person!
Sebastian is "metallic plum-toned taupe."
Silence is "greyed beige shimmer."
Black Dahlia is "opaque blackest blackened red." I love how dark this one is!
Anime is "vibrant neon pink creme."
My package from The Tree Kisser sale came in today!
It was the perfect day to get it to, since work sucked and I was feeling pretty cranky. Nothing like a happy mail day to turn that frown upside down. Here's what I got:
This is a size S and was $10. I'm not a fan of muscle tops honestly. Like truly I stay away from them. But, something about her stuff makes me wanna buy it, even if it's not my usual style. I figure I could wear them for PJs or when I'm out walking in the summer and sweating my butt off. It's also really soft and it's got a good bit of stretch to it, so it's comfy. Plus, as usual, I love the message. "Fight for Something." 💪🏼
This is also a size S and was $8. Ironically, this one is less comfy than the gray one. The white material is a little more stiff and also not as soft. It's not a big deal, but I found it strange. "Just Keep Loving." That needs to be America's slogan right now. Actually scratch that, if the world as a whole had a slogan, it should be that.
This one is a size M and was $15. This one I've been eyeing up for awhile. I'm trying to incorporate more color into my life, and I love this maroon shade because it's a color but it's still a dark color, which makes me happy lol. I love the flowy fit, it can hang off one shoulder and make it kind of flirty if that's your thing. It's very dress up or dress down. And it's soft and comfy. "Attracted to Compassion." Definitely true for me!
This is a size S and was $12. I have this in her sweatshirt and I really like the design, even though I don't drink lol. It's just cute and catchy. This poncho style tee is flattering since it's not snug up top, it kind of flows, but it does get tighter around the waste. Again, it's not as soft and stretchy as the other shirts. It's gotta be something to do with the white material, that's my best guess. I still really like it though!
This is a unisex size M and was $20. I really truly cannot stress enough to you guys how incredibly soft her sweatshirts are. In fact, I'm wearing her "Animals are not Fabric" sweatshirt as I type this. I will always buy her sweatshirts, regardless of the message. I don't even have a dog lol, but I didn't care. I literally live my life in her sweatshirts. And I am truly sad that it's about to be summertime and I'll have to stash them away in my closet until the cooler months return, which isn't soon enough. This size fits me exactly how I like them to fit me: oversized but not sloppily so. If you never buy anything else from The Tree Kisser, buy a sweatshirt.
This is also a size M and was $18. Again, super soft and perfect sweatshirt. I can't wait to wear it in December, and the rest of the cooler months since it's too soft to only wear one month of the year. I don't even like Christmas, but I do wish more people would spend less on presents and more on adopting shelter pets. So it's a message after my own heart. ❤️
That's my haul from this Imperfect Sale. I basically own all of her clothing at this point and I'm totally okay with that because I just love her stuff.
As far as the "Imperfect" part of the sale, I barely noticed anything. The "Dogs Before Dudes" sweatshirt, the ink looks a little bit off, kind of like it wasn't completely dried when they pulled the stencil off so it's kind of smeary but it's hardly noticeable. Like I had to legit look for flaws with these items and that's the only one I found.
I spent $97 with shipping, and got some really awesome stuff! Out of all the items I purchased, $8.30 went to helping the animal rescue foundation she chose during May. She refunded a good portion of my shipping fees back too, which I love that she does that.
If after all my posts about her stuff, you're still not following her on Instagram, what are you waiting for?!
