Sometimes I just wanna be a mermaid. 💕 I love mermaids, which is ironic considering I'm terrified of the ocean. But, The Little Mermaid is one of my absolute favorite movies, and Ariel is by far my favorite Disney princess. So what's a girl to do when she wants to be a mermaid but is terrified of the ocean? She does mermaid makeup of course! I haven't been doing too much eye shadow lately because my contact dermatitis is flaring up. I can only assume it's because of the weather. I'm like 97% convinced that my contact dermatitis is weather based and not product based. Especially since it's also stating on my under eye, where my eye makeup doesn't even touch. When it starts to flare, I try to give my eyelids a break. Here's a super simple mermaid look I did last month. Literally anyone can do it, and you'll feel like Ariel herself when you're done. And here's what I used for my mermaid transformation: The first thing I did was line my inner rims (top and bottom) with my 100% Pure Eyeliner. Next, I applied the teal color (2nd row, 4th one in) from the Pacifica eyeshadow palette to the outer lid of my eyes. I brought it close to the middle. Then, I applied Small Gift from the ColourPop Cosmetics Hello Kitty collection to the inner lid of my eyes. I blended them together to meet in the middle. Then, I applied just a little of the neutral shimmer (1st row, 1st one in) to the center of my eyelid and blended that in. I also used some of that up to my brow and in the inner corner of my eyes, just for a little more shimmer. Mermaids love shimmer. Then I curled my lashes a few times before applying one coat of 100% Pure Maracuja Oil Blackberry mascara, then finished with a coat of the Black Tea mascara.
Voila! Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Let your inner mermaid shine through! 🐚
