I wanted to do a post reviewing a little of this and a little of that. So here's a few different items I wanted to talk about:
Merry Hempsters Vanilla Vegan Lip Balm
One thing almost all lip balm addicts have in common is that we have lip balms stored away in random places that we've never used and we forget we have, then randomly one day we find them and it's like Christmas. My last balm was making my lips break out in some type of reaction, and I'm out of back ups (I really need to restock), and I found this one and was excited to use it! At first the flavor was kind of weird, I think it was the hemp oil. But honestly, after using it for awhile, I've grown to love it. It makes my lips really soft, and it lasts. The flavor isn't over powering, but you can tell it's vanilla. I guess it's the ground up vanilla beans, there's little black spots in the lip balm that end up on your lips. It's not the worst thing ever, they're not super noticeable. It's not enough to make me not want to buy it again, since I really love it.
Next up, my Oogie Boogie Cozy from WanderlustBee.
My friend Clair sent me this and I just needed it immediately, then I went to her Etsy and just wanted to buy like 15 different ones. Her designs are the CUTEST! They're all made with 100% acrylic yarn, hand made, and beautifully detailed. She's got a little something for everyone, no matter what you're interested in. You can use it for hot or cold drinks, I have it presently on my water bottle. It's a little bit for my bottle but not by a lot. They fit approximately 12-20 oz cups. They're only $9 a piece, and she has a sale section you should check out too.
Lastly, my art print from A. Lynn Designs.
Last month, I went to The Greyhound Cafe for their fundraiser event for The Humane League, entered a raffle and won first prize! First prize was a custom pet portrait from artist Amanda Lynn. It was such an awesome thing for her to donate such a great prize. We worked out some details and I gave her my image of what I saw in my head, and she took the image I had in my head and created it on canvas. I wanted all of my cat's personalities represented.
So on the top left is Ollie, with a ball of yarn connected to Luna on the bottom right, since they're my two most playful kitties and they often play together. On the top right is Leopold, laying like the King that he is, and on the bottom left is Tabitha, sitting like the Queen she is.
Amanda was extremely helpful and very talented, and shipped my piece, carefully packaged and I received it the next day. I don't know if she has an Instagram, I couldn't find it if so, but I know she does have a Facebook and her page is A. Lynn Designs and you should absolutely like it!
